'Waitress' is looking for a Lulu in Baltimore!

The hit Tony Award-nominated musical Waitress will be premiering at The Hippodrome Theatre on January 30 through February 4, 2018, and the show is looking for two young girls to perform the role of "Lulu" in Baltimore. The character of "Lulu" is a sweet and carefree 4- to 5-year-old who appears in the production's finale scene.

The audition will consist of the child reading two lines from the show. If possible, parents should bring a current headshot and resume for each child. (Headshot, resume and prior acting experience is not required.) Keep in mind: Space is limited to the first 40 applicants to sign up. Register by clicking here.

Where: Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. rehearsal studio (416 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201—adjacent to The Hippodrome Theatre). Please enter through the Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. main doors.
Who: Girls ages 4 to 5 (no older than 5 years and 3 months). Those eligible for auditioning must be shorter than 4'2" and weigh less than 35 lbs.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's beloved film, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor may offer her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. But Jenna must summon the strength and courage to rebuild her own life.
