About the Show
The national tour of Carrie Fisher’s one-woman show, Wishful Drinking, begins performances in Baltimore on January 31. The tell-all show plays the Hippodrome Theatre through February 12.
The daughter of Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Fisher became a cultural icon in her own right at the age of 19, when she starred as Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy. In Wishful Drinking, she tells the true and intoxicating tale of her life as a Hollywood legend. With all the wry wit she poured into such bestsellers as Postcards from the Edge, it’s an uproarious and sobering look at her "Hollywood hangover.”
Wishful Drinking opened on Broadway in 2009 and was later filmed and broadcast on HBO in 2010. The production is directed by Tony Taccone.
