Get your taste buds ready for something delicious and "bizarre." Tickets are now on sale for the Hippodrome’s third annual Foodie Experience on May 12. Andrew Zimmern, host of the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods, will emcee the culinary event, which offers tastes from some of Baltimore’s top restaurants.
The three-hour tasting portion of the event brings Baltimore eateries and caterers inside the Hippodrome. As an extra foodie addition this year, an army of the city’s most popular food trucks will be stationed on Eutaw Street. Once attendees have chewed and schmoozed with the chefs and tastemakers, Zimmern will take the stage for the final portion of the evening.
Zimmern is a celebrated chef, food writer and teacher. His hosting gig on the Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods takes him around the world in search of the most peculiar and delectable restaurants, street carts and markets. In past years, the Foodie Experience has been hosted by Anthony Bourdain, Eric Ripert and Alton Brown.
